My teen daughter has been working out with Mike for a year now. She has Autism and ADHD and Mike has been able to create a workout for her that is not only challenging but fun. She’s not only building a strong foundation for physical health but she is also learning other important life skills as well.

Mike Griffin and his coaches at Adaptive Exercise Group have filled a void needed for individuals that don’t quiet fit in at huge gyms. My son has Autism and an Intellectual Disability, he had a routine and routine is a part of Autism. Introducing a gym wasn’t received well, my son met with Mike and began working. He had achievements to talk about and goals he bought into. He lost 45 pounds since working with Adaptive Exercise Group and he sees and feels the benefits. Mike and his coaches will find a way to make it work and give individuals the ability to gain strength and confidence. For anyone that may be weaker due to a stroke, have limits based on physical mobility issues, check out what Adaptive Exercise may be able to do for you. This facility is also a provider for The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD). I appreciate how committed they are, how engaging they have made my son and that the results have given him a sense of pride in himself as he sees new numbers and feels better.

I have known Michael and worked out with him for a couple of years now. He is a great trainer that knows his stuff! He really cares about the people he is working with and works with you to make sure you achieve your goals. He makes sure you are comfortable with each move and that you are doing exercises correctly. He is patient and kind and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend Michael for your personal training needs!

Mike has been working with my son Caleb for over 2 years. Caleb is in a wheelchair, but Mike designed workouts to meet his needs, including a little bit of walking. Our workout program has evolved over time as Caleb became more fit and now includes a little bit of walking on a treadmill. Caleb also enjoys the social component of his workouts as he gets to spend some time with someone in his own age group in Mike. We see Mike a couple of times a week and it has increased Caleb’s mobility substantially.
I would highly recommend Mike and Adaptive Exercise Group to anyone looking to be more physically fit and mobile.

Mason has autism and is deaf. Mike works with Mason so well. He can get Mason to exercise. He works so well with the special needs population. Finding someone who gets our kids is priceless! I cannot say enough positive things about Mike’s abilities

When I had completed my physical therapy treatment for a movement disorder, I needed to continue to work on muscle strengthening, balance and coordination to help keep the symptoms of Parkinson’s at bay. I discovered Mike Griffin at Adaptive Exercise Group while doing a Google search for a personal trainer. In the nearly 3 months that I have been working with Mike, I have less depression, less fatigue, and have found a sense of hope. He is encouraging and understanding when I am having a bad day and always has my best interest in mind. Mike adapts each workout to my needs, while making every workout interesting, challenging, safe and fun. He has a great sense of humor and always has a lot of energy.
I would encourage anyone who has Parkinson’s or any kind of movement disorder to work with Mike Griffen at Adaptive Exercise Group. HE IS WONDERFUL!!!

Hi, my name is Sarah Busansky. I have been a client of Mike’s for almost a year now. I love being a part of the Adaptive Exercise Group. It is really refreshing to be working alongside such dedicated personal trainers who don’t view any sort of limitation as a weakness, but rather as a strength. I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of two and my progression in this program has allowed me to maintain the ability to eat on my own, paint, and lessened the significance of a muscle contracture in my right arm by 10 degrees. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who is looking to achieve their fitness goals in a welcoming environment, regardless of one’s race, ethnicity, age, or mobility level. The sky is the limit for all who join!

Been working w Mike just a few months after leg/knee injury and many months in a wheelchair. Have regained strength in legs and core working w Mike 3x a week. It is hard work! Highest praise for patience and constant motivation. Mike, you were meant to do this! Thanks for all your special attentions too. PS @JacksonvilleJaguars Jaxon DeVille thought Dino was looking stronger too.

My son set a goal to get fit, build some muscle and establish an effective workout routine. I contacted trainer after trainer, gym after gym and either they did not reply or said no because my son has a Down syndrome diagnosis. Mike at Adaptive Exercise Group said yes! Mike is phenomenal! Great communication, solid teaching and pulls no punches on motivating my son to push himself to complete a full workout in a safe and effective manner! Mike is inclusive, kind and excited to share his wealth of knowledge to help those with special needs be healthy and fit! We are clients for life!

Our daughter, Miranda, works out with Mike 2-3 times per week. It is the highlight of her week! The exercises are customized just for her and she has built amazing endurance and strength this summer. Mike is so encouraging and has such positive energy that Miranda wants to keep working even when it gets tough.
